Privacy policy
The short version: we collect the minimum we need to run Tempd, your records stay yours, we don’t sell data, and everything lives in Australia.

Who we are
Tempd (tempd.app) is operated by Tempd (“we”, “us”). We provide food safety record keeping for Australian food businesses. You can reach us any time at support@tempd.app.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address (used for sign-in links; we don’t store passwords because there aren’t any) and your business name and type.
- Your records: the food safety entries you log, meaning temperatures, cleaning checks, deliveries, corrective actions, staff initials, optional notes and photos. These are your business records; we store them so you can use them.
- Billing details: handled by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers; we only see your subscription status.
- Technical basics: the minimum operational logs needed to keep the service running and debug problems. We run no advertising trackers and no analytics that follow you around the web.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase in Sydney, Australia (ap-southeast-2). A copy also lives on your own device so Tempd works offline. That copy stays on your phone and syncs only to your own account.
How we use it
To run the product: syncing your records, sending sign-in links, reminding you about checks you’ve scheduled, telling you about your trial and subscription, and providing support when you ask for it. That’s it. We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who can see it
You. Our service providers (Supabase for storage, Stripe for payments, our email provider for sign-in links and account emails) process data only to provide their service to us. We’ll disclose records if the law genuinely requires it. And as a record-keeping tool, remember that handing your reports to your inspector is always your action, not ours.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. Food safety records are legal documents, so we never delete your history behind your back. Even if your subscription lapses, your records stay readable and exportable (CSV export works on every plan state, always). If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days of your request.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@tempd.app and we’ll sort it. No forms, no run-around.
Changes
If we change this policy in any way that matters, we’ll email you before it takes effect.
